Five-Stage Ultra-Premium RO/DI Systems with 99.5% Silica Removal.
SpectraPure® SpectraPlus 2000 RO/DI Systems incorporate our new 99% rejection membranes which have the highest rejection available. 99% rejection membranes remove twice as much silica, phosphates, and nitrates as the 98% rejection membranes. Used in combination with our SilicaFree and mixed-bed deionizing cartridges, this system provides the ultimate removal of algae promoting substances, including colloidal silica, and the longest deionizing cartridge life, significantly reducing the cost of operation.
This super capacity DI system consists of a newly developed color-indicating SilicaFree Cartridge, with twice as much phosphate/silica removal resin as in previous designs. When the resin changes color upon exhaustion, the SilicaFree Cartridge should be removed and replaced with a new cartridge before any contaminants can be passed on to the next stage. The final stage consists of a semi-conductor grade mixed-bed cartridge, with an electronic purity monitor to determine the exhaustion point.
The SpectraPlus 2000 is available in 25, 40, 90 and 180 (twin membrane) gallons per day systems. The 90 gpd systems uses two 45 gpd membranes in a series, maintaining a 99% rejection rate, which doubles the membrane life of the system in comparison to single 90 gpd membrane systems.
SpectraPlus 2000 Systems are equipped with the finest pre-filtration 0.5 micron MicroTec pre-filters, and 20,000 gallon chlorine capacity carbon block pre-filters. Clear filter housings and a standard pressure gauge provide better visibility of system performance. No more guessing about plugged pre-filters. Also included is a filter wrench and a 3/4" garden hose adapter.
Caution: The deionization cartridge life is greatly reduced when operated on low pH waters, or water with high CO2 levels. Aeration or de-gassification of RO product water is recommended for removal of carbon dioxide.
